Life update

Post by Nick »

Haven’t been on in a while. Hate that I’m here with this particular update.

I married my wife in 2015. In 2018, we had our first son… 2020, our second, 22 our third and in 2024 we had a daughter.

A month ago my wife began suffering back pain that wouldn’t resolve with any remedy or treatment. This developed into shortness of breath.

We attended a family camping trip including all 3 of her sisters and their children, and cousins families in the last week of July.

We took her to the ER on August 1st because her shortness of breath was getting worse.

Long story short, they discovered cancer, and a lot of it.

We did everything possible to try to save her, but there’s just too much damage.

She was read her last rights this afternoon, family has come and said their goodbyes, and now I am sitting here waiting for my wife, mother of my children, to pass away just two days ahead of her 41st birthday.

Do not waste a moment. Every second is precious. Don’t take it for granted.

Dude...I am SO sorry. Cancer is a bitch. I can't even tell you how much I feel for you, man.

I'm so sorry to read this. She's way too young, that's beyond unfair. :(

My wife survived cancer and a back breaking car accident in 2009 and this made me thankful for whatever time I got with her, but she's in tough shape as age and time have taken so much.

My only advice is to make her as comfortable as possible for the time that's left and honor her memory always. Your children need you now more than ever and nothing for you will be easy so accept help whenever offered and possible.

Lastly, I feel terrible for you and wish words could lift the weight upon you.
