Should I Sell My Car For A 2002 Trans Am?

Post by wantahertzdonut »

Sup. It's been a while!

I know a few past AR members were into F-Bodies and I've always liked them. Recently, a friend of mine (college roommate from 22 years ago) decided to sell or trade in his 2002 Trans Am that he bought new in late 2001. 58k miles babied miles, and by babied I mean the tires have never so much as squeaked.

I feel like this would be the best example I could get if I want one, but I would have to sell my IS300 Sportcross to make space. I love my car, it only has 98k on it, and nothing wrong with it at all.

But fun cars are never a rational purchase.

So what would you do if you were in my shoes?

Is it a 6 speed car? What color is it? What price does he want?

I say yes, but I am biased. ;)

Black, auto. He wanted a stick but dealers were sold out and he wanted black vs silver. $18,500.

I would struggle paying a premium for a fun car that has a slushbox.
